Te Kuiti (teh-ku-i-ty) is a smartly furnished 2 level holiday home set in Australian bushland with panoramic views of the D’Entrecasteaux Channel and the Tasmanian coast. Te Kuiti is the perfect place to relax and take in all that Bruny Island has to offer.

The house is an elegant blend of taste, comfort and functionality. Upstairs is a large, spacious, light filled room, with a well-appointed kitchen and comfortable living and dining spaces. The room opens onto an expansive elevated deck with 180° views of the Channel and across to the Huon Valley estuary and the Hartz Range. Te Kuiti has excellent free wi-fi access, a flat screen smart TV, Sonos sound system, DVD player and an extensive DVD and reading library. 

On the lower level are 2 bedrooms. Each has queen-sized beds, complete with fresh crisp linens, warm doonas, cosy bed throws, side tables and ample storage. The bathroom is spacious, with quality towels, soaps and products, as well as, heated towel rails. There is a separate laundry area with a washing machine, iron and dryer.

With white painted timber floors, oriental rugs and an eclectic mix of paintings and comfortable furniture, the home echoes of a bright and warm Scandinavian holiday cottage. 

On the property, stroll through the native bushland down to the water’s edge and take in the expansive channel views. Walk along the dramatic rocky shoreline, with our very own modest lighthouse. Go fishing, look for drift wood, explore the rockpools, watch the seabirds or just simply relax and read a book in the sun.

Te Kuiti is situated close to the township of Alonnah. Take a short drive (or a longer walk by the bush track and coastline) to town. Enjoy the calm sandy beach or cross the road and visit the famous Bruny Island Hotel for a meal and convivial drink. Alonnah has a small general store, pharmacy and a medical centre. 
A pleasant drive will take you to Bruny’s famous gourmet food and wine providores and the scenic splendours of the Neck, Cloudy Bay, Adventure Bay and the Lighthouse.
